12/11/2010: Paul Bradbury completes the impossible.

paul bradbury
Paul Bradbury our own resident officer of the law completed the impossible last weekend in Aberdeen. Paul studied Judo as a Junior at Monton Judo Club with his brother John. He only returned to Judo as a senior recently and has already won a silver at a competition in the North East but is now the national Silver medallist at the Police National Championships all within just 9 months.

Paul has trained very hard at least twice a week at Worsley Judo Club to prepare him for this championship. He commented:

I came back to Judo as I had always wanted to, as the fundamental principals I use in my job where necessary both psychologically and physically come from the confidence I have as an ex Judo player. It wasn’t until my superior who knew I was an ex judoka asked me at work to enter the PSUK championships I thought right I need to find a club. I currently live near Wythenshaw so it’s a bit of a drive to get to Worsley but I am committed as the training is second to none. The instructors breadth of knowledge is mind blowing and the lads I train with like to train so we have a real team here, its good to be back!”
